I read Moominpappa at Sea this year. It was my first Moomin book. I thought the descriptions and writing were so poetic. I read a few passages outloud to Ben. I really enjoyed it. It was very unique, as far as children's literature goes, don't you think? It wasn't dumbed down to any level, and it wasn't lofty either. It just was. I don't know how else to describe it. Did you find a beautiful copy? I know you were looking for the perfect one.
i found a boxed set that has the most gorgeous covers! no silly overly cartoony bits. it's just perfect and i'm thrilled and trying to savor them and not rush through as i often do!
