things to think about.

ah, the miracle of the christmas season. when everything around you says "buy!" a little part of my brain kicks in and says, "why?"

wanting things is such a sticky trap. yes, there are so many, many beautiful things out there (handmade, fur-lined, leather boots come to mind just now) and i do want them. but i feel so very much like veruca salt (daddy i want it! and i want it now!) obnoxious and out of control.

i want pretty things. and i want to share them with you, so we can enjoy them together. but you know what i really want? to stop wanting.
