( country folk )

May 2, 2011

my head and heart
have been in the country lately.
away from the city, the noise,
the boundaries and the postage stamp backyards.

thinking of a place to wander.
a place where there are clusters of trees, not houses.
a place to breathe and think and be.

and of course,
where my head & heart are...
my hands will follow.

needle and thread and bits of vintage materials
made these country wolves.

they are a pair,
mated for life
and refuse to be separated.

he wears plaid and a sensible scarf knotted with a wooden button.
she wears a dainty floral print and layers of cream lace.

i am finding them hard to list.
soon, soon.
