i am embarrassingly, overwhelmingly stupid with the sewing machine.

needle and thread, i'm fine. sewing machine, near disaster.

so why, this morning, when i was non-functioning exhausted tired,

did i decide to tackle recovering the little dog's beds?

because it seemed easier than moving the sewing machine.

i've been saving up this old italian army blanket for just this purpose.

and i'm glad to say it's working out nicely. i even got the stripes lined up all the way 'round.

it's so hard to find non-ugly dog beds... hence the antique slat beds and adventures in sewing.

otis had a hard time understanding why he had to stay off the cushion

while i'm took pictures. he eventually gave up and lay down next to it.
