heron

i forgot to share the finished photos of my heron.
for awhile now, i've been wanting to make a more delicate bird, an awkward shore bird.
and i've had this line in my head for weeks, "you be the heron and i'll be the fox" courtesy of little scream.

her neck twists just right... it mimics the moment they hear something and pause for assessment.
unfortunately, i free handed the pattern and forgot to take notes! it was a bit of a head scratcher when i tried to recreate the pieces. lesson learned. hopefully.

she's in the shop, but i really won't mind if she stays here on my desk for awhile.
