string of rotting death.

June 12, 2009

with all my gardening talents, i have managed to turn a gorgeous little string of pearls into a string of rotting death.

for the record, this is nothing like what i have:

and no, i'm not going to share a picture of the poor plant post-black-thumb-ministrations.

really, it's a succulent. how hard is it? you basically ignore it. but i had to go interfere and have since been rewarded with little pus balls of rot.

usually, if i kill a plant, i accept that we were not meant for each other and we go our separate ways. but i'm feeling unusually determined this time. (of course, that's what got me into this problem in the first place.)

try, try again?

3 notes:

  1. I can't get the phrase "little pus balls of rot" out of my head. It should be the name of a heavy metal band, or at least the name of one of their albums....

  2. it's doing much better now! i've successfully ignored it for a couple of days and it's turning back into a string of pearls. with new growth even! hooray!!!
