we're at the tail end of the great midwestern blizzard
and we've had our first dabblings of snow. (exciting stuff, these little white crystals.)
the blizzard also changed our plans for traveling up north to see family.
rather than plow through the foot of snow dumped in northern michigan,
we'll just wait for the plow trucks to do it and try again in a week or two.

the internet seems to be wrapping up for the holidays and i think, so will i.
back to my books and quilts and sewing.
the stillness of sleeping dogs and twinkle lights at night.
